Vessel Leather Valet Tray

$105.00

A small ritual in the rhythm of life—a place to set things down.

Hand-shaped from 12 oz full grain vegetable-tanned leather, the Vessel is a refined resting place for your everyday essentials. Its pill-shaped form feels polished but never precious—civilized, lived-in.

Each tray is individually molded and dyed, giving every piece its own tonal depth and natural variation. The deep green leather nods to vintage interiors and well-worn gloves—warm, tactile, quietly intentional.

Made to hold the keys to your favorite drive, or whatever you carry through the day.

Handcrafted in Los Angeles.

Product Specifications:

  • Dimensions = 4 in / 10.16 cm X 7 in / 17.78 cm
  • 12 oz Full Grain Vegetable Tanned Leather
  • Hand made in Los Angeles, CA

Care Instructions:

1. Regular Dusting:

  • Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently dust the tray regularly. This will prevent dust and dirt from accumulating and potentially scratching the leather.

2. Avoid Moisture and Extreme Temperatures:

  • Keep the tray away from direct sunlight, heat sources (like radiators), and excessive humidity. These can dry out the leather, causing it to crack or become brittle.
  • If the tray gets wet, gently wipe it dry with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry naturally. Do not use a hairdryer or other heat source to speed up the drying process.

3. Conditioning:

  • Periodically condition the leather to keep it supple and prevent it from drying out. Use a high-quality leather conditioner (Saphir Médaille d'Or Renovateur Cream) specifically designed for vegetable-tanned leather.
  • Apply a small amount of conditioner to a soft cloth and gently rub it into the leather in a circular motion. Allow the conditioner to absorb for a few minutes, then wipe off any excess with a clean cloth.
  • How often to condition depends on the environment and how often the tray is used. Generally, conditioning every 3-6 months is sufficient.

4. Cleaning:

  • For minor stains or dirt, use a damp microfiber cloth to gently wipe the affected area. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents, as these can damage the leather.
  • For more stubborn stains, you can use a specialized leather cleaner. Always test the cleaner in an inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't discolor or damage the leather.

Important Notes:

  • Patina: Vegetable-tanned leather develops a beautiful patina over time with use. This is a natural process and part of the leather's character.
  • Color Transfer: New vegetable-tanned leather may transfer some color, especially to light-colored fabrics. This is normal and usually subsides with use.
  • Avoid Sharp Objects: Be mindful of placing sharp objects in the tray, as they can scratch the leather.
